He also challenged the U.S. Department of Defense's political speech regulation as part of the legal team that tackled Stein v. Dowling.
A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Attorney Nicholas Grey served as a judge advocate while on active duty. He relies on his military experience when representing military clients who need help with support regulations and military protective orders. He currently drills as part of the Marine Corps Reserve. Passionate about civil rights, he regularly provides pro bono services to civil rights cases. He is licensed to practice in California, South Dakota, U.S. Court of Appeals for Armed Forces, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts in California. After completing his undergraduate studies at Saint Olaf College, he earned his law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law.
